Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed that communication between Moscow and EU leaders could be terminated, complaining about the lack of understanding in the European community of the need for mutually respectful dialogue. Lavrov said this during a speech at the Valdai discussion forum, Interfax reports.

"Those people who are responsible for foreign policy in the West and do not understand the need for a mutually respectful conversation, perhaps we should just stop communicating with them for a while, especially since [head of the European Commission] Ursula von der Leyen says, that the geopolitical partnership with the current Russian government is not working. So be it if they want it," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
