US President Donald Trump discussed war in Donbas during the meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, according to the White House’s message.

"President Trump reaffirmed transatlantic unity in holding Russia accountable for its actions in Crimea and eastern Ukraine, and noted the importance of convincing Russia to fulfill its commitments under the Minsk Agreements," the message reads.

Earlier Donald Trump already expressed similar position to Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, when he emphasized that Russia is responsible for the implementation of Minsk agreements.
