The Russian Federation is interested in unified Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. This was announced by press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, on TV channel Russia 24, reports RBK Ukraine.
"As a result, we can say the following: the political will of the leaders of Norman Quartet is confirmed, they will continue to work on the implementation of the Minsk agreement. They proceed from the fact that there's no alternative to Minsk agreements. And within a month on a high level of foreign ministers and assistants, this work will continue. All sides are interested in that anyway Minsk agreements would not remain just a paper.
And Russia is interested because, as President Putin said, we want a stable, prosperous and friendly predictable Ukraine, because the peoples of our two countries, no matter what happened, are close to each other. Russia is really interested in a peaceful united Ukraine", - Peskov said.
Answering to the journalist's clarification: "In the internationally recognized borders?". Peskov said. "Of course. All related parties are interested in it."
