The Russian Federation began to gather military equipment at the border with Ukraine, disguised as UN peacekeepers. This was reported by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov on the sidelines of People's Front political party congress, Ukrinform reports.

"In terms of the fact that Russia wants to repaint itself from the aggressor to a peacekeeper, this is indeed a serious danger. Moreover, I want to say that in the border regions, there are military equipment painted in appropriate colors, and the corresponding helmets, etc., have already been brought from Russia today. Therefore, it is dangerous," Turchynov said.

In his opinion, the approval of the law on Donbas reintegration by the Verkhovna Rada  may become an obstacle to the realization of Russia's plan.

"The adoption of this law completely negates Russia's ability to play peacekeepers. This country is and will be an aggressor, until we liberate the Donbas and Crimea," the NSDC secretary stressed.

We recall, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is confident that the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas will be located throughout the territory and block the supply of troops and weapons to militants.

Earlier, the president said that the relevant law proclaims a key peaceful and political-diplomatic path, despite the fact that it regulates the military aspect as well.
