The Russian Federation expelled two Swedish diplomats from the country, Reuters reported, citing a representative of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
"Previously, Sweden made a decision that one Russian diplomat would not receive extended visa, and after that we rejected Russian applications for diplomatic visas. Russia responded by asking two Swedish diplomats to leave the country," he said, refusing to discuss the details of the incident.
Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed the issue, but they are also didn't provide other comments.
In March, Russian diplomat Yevgeny Umerenko and his wife left Sweden after he was caught trying to recruit a Swedish computer specialist. After that, Russia submitted an application for sending new diplomats in Sweden, but the country refused to issue new diplomatic visas.
Earlier the shooting began near the Embassy of Ukraine in London.
According to the report, the car intentionally rammed the official vehicle of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, which was parked near the diplomatic department.
The police immediately arrived at the scene and blocked the intruder. However, despite this, the driver hit the ambassador’s car again.
"In response, the police was forced to open fire on the attacker's car. He was detained and taken to the police station," the report says.
None of the embassy staff was hurt.
