Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has removed Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya from the interstate search base at the initiative of Belarusian law enforcement bodies. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as the TASS agency informs.

As the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry reported “the decision to declare a person interstate wanted or terminate it, is exclusively within the competence of law enforcement of the CIS member state that is the initiator of the search. Sending information to the centralized register of the Interstate Information Bank is also among their responsibilities.”

Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the process of forming the Interstate Information Bank includes the collective placement of forensic, investigative and other information by law enforcement of the CIS member states.

As it was reported earlier, Tsikhanouskaya was declared interstate wanted on Russian territory in October 2020.

The leader of the Belarusian opposition announced on May 26 the preparation of a new wave of protests in Belarus. One of the further steps considering by the Belarusian opposition is increasing the structure of the partisan movement inside the country.
