"With regard to direct gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine, we agreed after the new year, after all issues are resolved, to discuss these issues once again," Kozak said.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that: "today in Ukraine there is a storm in a glass over the fact that there are some five contracts with Ukrainian companies to which we will supply gas."
"This is not true. We have no contracts, in addition to agreements with the Ukrainian government, we will act strictly within the framework of this protocol," he stated.
According to him, Ukraine and the Russian Federation agreed and fixed in the relevant protocols the size of Gazprom’s fees for the provision of agent services for the transportation of gas, which has been firm and defined for all five years.
"Risks associated with tariff regulation for gas transportation, risks associated with changes in legislation, these will be the risks of Naftogaz of Ukraine or a gain if low prices are set on the Ukrainian side in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, which should now comply with European Union standards tariffs for gas transportation,” Kozak added.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's $3 billion debt on Eurobonds was not included in the gas agreements with Russia reached in Berlin and Minsk on December 19-20.
