The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs blames the U.S. for creating problems in granting Russians entry visas to the USA. The Russian authority assumes that the mutual air traffic may be canceled in future - as the Ministry put it.
The U.S. side causes problems in terms of granting U.S. entry visas for Russians, the authority said. The Russian Ministry added that the US decided to decrease the number of visa officers. It was also stressed that Russia does not declare any of American consular officers persona non-grata.
The authority claimed that Washington 'performs visa blocks against Russian citizens to have the influence on the Kremlin's independent course in international affairs'.
'We can't rule out that our countries could have the bilateral air traffic terminated. Only Aeroflot company makes regular flights between Russia and the USA, but the U.S. government could deny flights because the crew could not get the entry visa', the authority said.
As reported, USA imposed new sanctions on Russia on April 6; they targeted some of the most influential businessmen in this country.
Earlier, almost 30 countries sent off 150 members of Russian diplomatic missions - due to the chemical attack in Salisbury, England, which nearly killed a former Russian spy and his daughter.
