Russian Federation can place warehouses with military equipment and weapons in Belarus on the basis of an agreement on securing regional grouping of troops of both countries, naviny.by reports.

According to the agency, on November 14, an agreement between the Russian Federation and Belarus on the joint provision of a regional grouping of troops of both countries came into force. The document says that the supply of weapons and equipment to the Belarusian part of the regional troops grouping is organized by Russian Defense Ministry at the expense of the army reserves during the growing military threat to the Union State and in time of war. In this period, weapons and equipment can move to warehouses in Belarus.

The agency notes that the vagueness of the concepts "the period of the growing military threat" and the "period of direct threat of aggression" are an alarming moment, because theoretically the military mechanism can be launched without sufficient grounds.

As it was reported earlier three naval vessels of the Russian Navy approached the Latvian border on Thursday, November 9.  The military spotted two Russian ships and a submarine in the waters of Latvia’s exclusive economic area; the vessels did not violated the border.
