The law, according to which, the Ukrainian license for the use of the subsoil in occupied Crimea are annulled and a new order of their registration is implemented, has come into force in Russia. The proper law was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 3 as TASS reported.
The right for the use of the areas of the subsoil in the Black and Azov Seas will be provided according to the decision of Russia made in the result of the auction.
According to a new law, all Ukrainian licenses issued before the occupation of Crimea are invalid.
"Now the Russian government will make a decision on the holding of the auctions on every area of the subsoil at the shelf of the Azov and Black Seas, on the establishment of the order and conditions of their holding, their composition and order of the work of the auction commissions," the message said.
Before this law came into force, the law for the use of the subsoil was provided without the holding of the auction on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the base of the request of the user.
Ukrainian Minister of Ecology Ostap Semerak claimed to 112 Ukraine that the state license 131 for the use of the subsoil acts in Crimea.
"When we talk about the special permission or as people usually call them "licenses" for the use of the subsoil, I would like to tell that state license 131 acts in Crimea, there are seven licenses in the Azov Sea and 16 in the Black Sea. Today, it is hard to understand how much these licenses in the waters of the Azov and Black Seas are under the Russian authority, but anyway, it is the illegal seizure of Ukraine's property," Semerak noted.
He also said about the plans of the Ukrainian authority toward this situation.
"The strategy that we stick to and that we implement – it will be implemented. You know, that there are the lawsuits of Ukraine to the international tribunals and there are the lawsuits of the Ukrainian companies, such as "Naftogaz" to Russia for the recovery of the losses," he added.
In September 2016, Ukraine initiated the arbitrary criminal proceeding against Russia to defend its rights for the zones in the Black and Azov Seas, the Kerch Strait near annexed Crimea.
