The deep divisions remain between the allies of the North Alliance and Russia on the issue concerning Ukraine. The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claimed this on the result of the session of the Council Russia-NATO at the Ambassadors’ level as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

‘The deep divisions remain between the allies of the North Alliance and Russia.  The divisions also remain concerning the issues of Crimea and the conflict in the Eastern part of Ukraine’, he said.

Moreover, he added that the heavy weaponry was not led out of the conflict zones’.

According to Stoltenberg, the Minsk Agreements provides the best variant of the conflict settlement but they should be fulfilled.

Earlier, Stoltenberg claimed that NATO strived for the political cooperation with Russia last two decades but this process was stopped as the response to the Russian military interference in Ukraine that NATO condemns.
