Russian Foreign Ministry press secretary Maria Zakharova in her Telegram channel commented on the words of French Foreign Ministry Secretary Clement Beaune, calling his statements about Russian and Chinese vaccines "reviving neo-Nazi segregation in Europe."

"We condemn France for such discriminatory statements by its high-ranking representative, which revive the spirit of neo-Nazi segregation in Europe," she wrote.

According to Zakharova, this is not just Beaune's personal opinion, but the position of the French authorities. The spokeswoman also added that the French government "is offended for their state, which has not been able to develop its own vaccine."

Clement Beaune recently announced that he would ask European partners to make it a mandatory condition for entry into the country to be vaccinated with one of the four drugs approved by the European Union. According to him, this request is due to the fact that recently many countries "have been tempted and recognized certain vaccines, for example, Russian or Chinese."
