None of Ukrainians in Catalonia turned for consulate assistance over the last 24 hours. Oksana Dramaretska, the country’s Consul General in Barcelona said that in her commentary for 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to her, there were no messages about victims among Ukrainians in Barcelona, where the voters clashed with the police during the independence referendum on October 1.

‘There were no calls on the consulate’s hot line, no reports from the police… we currently find it difficult to say whether there are any Ukrainians among the victims,’ Dramaretska said. She added that as of Monday morning, the situation in Barcelona calmed down; however, Ukrainian citizens are still highly advised to avoid crowded places – for the time being.
