Despite the decision of International Court of Justice on the resumption of Crimean Tatar Mejlis activities on the peninsula, Russia only increases the repression against Crimean Tatars. The People's Deputy and the head of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov said this on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"They (the repressions,- Ed.) remain systemic, and they are escalating. There are no manifestations of the fact that the occupiers in any way noticed the court decision. I see some paradox about the decision of the International Court of Justice. Russia can't refuse to fulfill this decision, it is not only a party to the process, it is obliged and knew about it when it was approved by the court, but it will not fulfill this decision either. They are looking for some way to refuse to fulfill the court decision," Chubarov said.

The People's Deputy also predicts that Russia will not agree with the ECHR's decisions on non-compliance with human rights on the peninsula.

"Talking about ECHR decision. Russia already has a rolled track, because its Constitutional Court gave it the opportunity to refuse to fulfill decision of European Court of Human Rights if it's allegedly contrary to human rights according to the Russian Supreme Court," he said.
