Ukraine will soon be visited by the representatives of new American Administration. This was reported by President Petro Poroshenko during the briefing in Washington, broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
President also announced signing of important agreements, including the ones in defense sphere.
"It was agreed with United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Vice-President during the negotiations in Pentagon that several key members of the new presidential administration and ministers will visit Ukraine in the near future, very important agreements will be signed, including the agreement on defense cooperation, the agreement on defense procurement and agreement on military and technical cooperation," head of state noted.
Poroshenko specified that United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is among possible guests
"I want to thank President Trump for strong support of our state, thank Vice-President Pence, Secretary of State Tillerson, who we are expecting in Ukraine in Kyiv soon, a number of steps to strengthen our cooperation is planned, I am grateful to the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Trade and all those who participated in the organization of this visit," Poroshenko noted.
Ukrainian President is concluding his visit to the US today evening (Kyiv time). It is already known that tomorrow, June 22, president will head to Brussels, where he is to meet with the heads of the European Council and the European People's Party, and will also take part in the EPP Summit. Head of State is going to inform partners on escalation in Donbas among other things.
