Ukraine is expected to receive Remdesivir for coronavirus treatment in a week. This was stated by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov, Ukrinform reported.
"In a week we will have Remdesivir, which has performed well in the United States and other countries. We have already signed an agreement, and in a week it will arrive in our hospitals," Stepanov noted.
According to him, patients with a severe form of the disease also need other drugs that have undergone appropriate clinical trials - immunoglobulins. The decision on their purchase will be made after the upcoming session of the government.
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that chief doctors of the number of the medical establishments forced the staff to conceal infection with coronavirus as they were afraid of administrative penalties for their hospitals.
“It is a dangerous and unacceptable situation. The Health Ministry should assume measures immediately and protect the doctors who are forced to lie and conceal the infection with coronavirus by the hospital authority,” the president said.
