Germany and Russia cannot regulate the relations due to the Russian aggression in Donbas and annexation of Crimea. President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier claimed this after the meeting with Russian colleague Vladimir Putin as Reuters reported.

‘We are far from the normal relations. We still have the running sores, particularly in the result of the annexation of Crimea and Donbas Conflict that became the burden and remain to be the burden of our relations’, Steinmeier concluded.

At the same time, the German president supported Putin in the issue that all countries should put the efforts for the improvement of the bilateral relation.

As it was reported President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Moscow where Steinmeier arrived at the invitation of Putin.
