Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the current relations between the United States and Russia have fallen to very low levels because of the events in Ukraine and the efforts of the current US President Barack Obama's administration. This is stated in the Russian government's website with a link to an interview with the Russian prime minister to Israeli Channel Two.
"These relations are now at a very low point, at the lowest. Frankly speaking, when we started contacts with the current Obama administration, I could not imagine that they would reach such an unprecedented low point. We had quite good times in a relationship, and common tasks that we did, and we solved - these are Treaty on the Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms, the settlement of the situation around Iran and a number of other topics. But, unfortunately, because of what happened in Ukraine, thanks to the efforts of the Obama administration, this relationship fell, it is now quite low, "- said Medvedev.
He added that there's no Russia's fault in the deterioration of relations with the United States.
"It's not our fault and not our choice. We are interested in the fact that these relations were normal, but once again I emphasize, we by and large do not care whowould be the president." - Said the Russian prime minister.
