Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov believes that it is impossible to reintegrate Donbas in just a few years - this process may take up to several decades. He stated this in an interview with Dzerkalo Tyzhnia following his trip to Croatia.

"Yes, I continue to say that full-fledged reintegration will take at least 25 years, at least one generation. This is my belief," Reznikov noted.

According to him, allegations that the reintegration of Donbas is possible in a year or two arise from a misunderstanding of the situation.

As we reported earlier, Oleh Ustenko, presidential advisor on economic issues, said that Ukraine needed at least 10 billion dollars to restore the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"The preliminary estimate is about 10 billion dollars that will be required to restore the uncontrolled territory. We are talking about 5-7% of our GDP," the official stated.
