Regulatory committee of the Verkhovna Rada doesn’t recommend lifting immunity from Andriy Lozovy, a Ukrainian MP from the Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko. 112 Ukraine TV channel broadcasted the session of the parliamentary regulatory committee.

Lozovy asked the regulatory committee to support the prosecutor's citation.

“Dear members of the committee, please support the prosecutor’s citation to arraign me on a criminal charge. I am honest before the law and I want to prove the political motivation, legal ignorance and absolute inadequacy in citations against me,” he announced.

The General Prosecutor Office suspects Andriy Lozovy of $70 000 the tax evasion.

“The investigation considers it possible to bring mr. Lozovy the suspicion on tax evasion for around $70 000 in case of the Verkhovna Rada approval,” noted Yuriy Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General.

As it was reported earlier Regulatory committee considered and decided not to lift the immunity of non-affiliated MP Oles Dovhy on July 4. The Kyic city community lost more than 3 million dollars, - Prosecutor General of Ukraine told the details of charges against Oles Dovhy.

Previously, another MP evaded lifting immunity - the National Front party’s deputy Yevheniy Deidei.

Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko said he intended to ask parliament to remove the immunity of people’s deputy Yevheny Bakuli among others, adding that the parliamentary immunity is a feudal post-Soviet rudiment.
