Vadym Prystaiko, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko claimed that the Red Cross would gain access to search operations in the occupied Donbas. He said so in his interview with UNIAN news agency.

"In response to our request, the Red Cross will make another attempt to get to these territories, cross the [contact] line and participate in the investigation of where are these 500 people (by various estimates) that are now considered missing. One will need to reach every detained and captured person in these conditions behind the contact line", he said.

The Minister added that by that time, the Red Cross never received that kind of access.

"We agreed with Putin on that access; next week, we'll be able to learn if that happened or not", Prystaiko said.

Last week, the Red Cross International Committee (ICRC) sent one truck with humanitarian aid to the uncontrolled territory of Donbas.
