Prior to the session of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky took ex-Parliament Speaker Dmytro Razumkov out of the Council's roster. 

Ruslan Stefanchuk, the newly elected Chairman of the Parliament joined the Council instead of Razumkov. This is mentioned on the website of the President of Ukraine.

As it was reported earlier, members of the parliament have recalled Dmytro Razumkov from the position of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada with 284 votes.  215 votes for Razumkov's resignation were given by Servant of the People members, 20 - Batkivshchyna, 19 - For the Future, 6 - Voice, 18 - Dovira and 6 - non-faction MPs. Opposition Platform and European Solidarity voted against Razumkov's resignation.

In his last speech as the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Razumkov reminded the slogans from the election campaign about the inviolability of the Carpathian forests, pensioners who enjoy life and receive a decent pension, about corrupt officials who receive a real term; spoke very harshly about Zelensky’s offshore and said that "it is always difficult to get up and go against the system. Now Oleksiy Stefanchuk, Oleksiy Honcharenko and Yana Zinkevych, European Solidarity party members, are being nominated for the post of the Verkhovna Rada chairman. Oleksiy Kornienko was nominated for the position of the first vice-speaker by Servant of the People.
