The rally next to the building of Lukyanivske detention centre in Kyiv comes to an end. Oleksandr Ivanov, the coordinator of the action, member of the Surrender Resistance Movement told this to the press, as quoted by Hromadske portal.
"I just got the word that Berkut [fighters] were exchanged. What can I say? The justice and the Revolution of Dignity were devastated. This leaves no chances to punish the murderers of the Heavenly Hundred or to find out the truth. I think the rally will be wrapping up because its goal was never reached", Ivanov said.
The rally near Lukyanivske detention center began on December 28. It was caused by the decision of Kyiv court, as the judge changed the restriction measure for five ex-Berkut riot police agents. Oleg Yanishevsky, Pavlo Abroskin, Serhiy Zinchenko, Oleksandr Marynchenko, and Serhiy Tamtura are charged with committing mass murders during the events of the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine in early 2014.
Berkut fighters appeared on the list of the people due to the exchange with pro-Russian mercenaries. On December 29, Mayorske checkpoint hosted the exchange procedure. It appears that the released Berkut servicemen were exchanged and are currently on the occupied territory of Donbas.
