Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine condemned the launch of the railway traffic between Russia and annexed Crimea through the bridge over the Kerch Strait as the ministry reported.
It is noted that the launch of the railway traffic is another violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and norms of international law by Russia.
“43 hours on the way, despite common sense, Russia wants the total impact on people in annexed Crimea; such train is purely ideological step. That is why it is so important for us to fight for every Ukrainian who lives in the annexed territory. We cannot admit the isolation of the Ukrainians in occupied territories that is why we have built the checkpoints Chonhar and Kalanchak in a few months,” Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy stated.
Krykliy noted that the ministry discusses and it would fight at the international arena against “another infrastructure attacks of the aggressor”.
As we reported, the occupants finished building of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge. On December 23, the first train passed through Crimean Bridge, which followed from St. Petersburg to Sevastopol.
Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Linas Linkevičius called the opening of the Kerch Bridge railway connection a violation of international law. Besides, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu also condemned the launch of the trains.
UNGA noted that the Assembly's resolutions against the construction of the bridge and considered it a flagrant violation of the Organization’s Charter.
