The approaches to foreign policy of Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump are "phenomenally close." This was stated on the Russian First Channel, by Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
"If you recall the passage from Putin's speech at the Valdai forum, and compare that with the passage of the speech Trump said when after it became known that he is the president, they told the same basic promises as regards their relation to foreign policy, and it is amazing," said Peskov.
He said that it comes to Trump's intention to defend the interests of America and cooperate with all countries that will be ready for it. Putin, according to Peskov, said the same thing.
"This is probably a good reason for yet moderate optimism," said Putin's press secretary.
As it is known, immediately after the announcement of the election results in the US, and the victiory of Donald Trump, thousands of disgruntled Americans came to the streets of American cities. Anti-Trump protests began. Eyewitnesses even reported acts of vandalism.
