President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump by phone, discussing counter-terrorism efforts and "matters of mutual interest," according to a Kremlin readout of the call. It was reported by CNN.

"Vladimir Putin thanked Donald Trump for the information shared via the special services that helped prevent terrorist acts in Russia," the Kremlin-provided statement said.

The Presidents discussed several matters of mutual interest.

It was also stated that the agreement had been made to continue bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

As we reported earlier, on November 18, U.S. House of Representatives has impeached Donald Trump in a historic vote.

House approved both articles of impeachment: Trump was accused of abusing his power by asking Ukrainian officials to announce investigations into Bidens, which would benefit his reelection, and of obstructing Congress in its impeachment inquiry.

Meanwhile, Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden stated that he does not mind testifying in the Senate as part of an investigation into the impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump.
