Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia held the phone talk with Donald Trump, the President of the US on December 17 to thank him for the work of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that prevented the number of bombings in St. Petersburg, Russia as the White House reported.
The Russian president expressed his gratitude to the CIA and noted that it allowed the Russian authorities to prevent the attack at the Kazan Cathedral and other crowded places. Putin added that the CIA information was enough to find and detain the terrorists.
In his turn, Trump emphasized the importance of the intelligence cooperation to fight against the terrorism. The leaders agreed that this incident is a positive example of the joint work of the countries. Moreover, Putin promised Trump that if the Russian special services get the information on the terrorist attacks against the US then they will submit this information to the American colleagues.
As we reported earlier a lawyer for the Trump presidential transition team accused the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller working on the investigation of Russian meddling in the election of unlawful obtaining of documents.
