President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated that he does not refuse to meet new President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“And did I refuse? Nobody offered me [anything],” Putin said.
He added that Russia does not refuse from the contacts with the Ukrainian leader.
“We do not refuse from the contacts; we will work,” the Russian president said.
Earlier Administration of President Zelensky stated that it does not rule out that a phone conversation could take place between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.
Besides, Vladimir Putin did not congratulate Volodymyr Zelensky on official inauguration.
