Russian President Vladimir Putin has not heard anything about Alexander Lukashenko's threats to cut off gas transit to the European Union, RIA Novosti reports.

“To be honest, this is the first time I have heard about this. Because I have twice talked with Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko recently, he never told me about it, did not even hint,” Putin said in an interview with a Russian TV channel.

According to him, Lukashenko, in principle, can stop the transit, and this will be a violation of contractual obligations.

"Although there is nothing good in this, and I, of course, will talk with him on this topic," Putin added.
