President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The application for Putin's nomination was sent by Russian writer Sergei Komkov, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had not officially nominated the Russian president for the Nobel Peace Prize.
"You know that completely different people are nominated for this award, and this is the initiative of those who make such a proposal. In this case, it is the writer that you have mentioned," the Kremlin spokesman commented on the relevant application submitted by Komkov, TASS reports.
As we reported earlier, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and President of the United States Donald Trump were awarded Ig Nobel Prize.
It is presented by Harvard University in the USA. The university rewards people for dubious and absurd scientific achievements and ideas.
