Vladislav Surkov was released from his position of assistant at his own request after the meeting with President Vladimir Putin as RBK reported citing Putin’s Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
“They (President Vladimir Putin and Surkov, - 112.international) met; he was dismissed from the post at his own request,” Peskov said.
Moreover, he refused to predict the possibility of the further work of Surkov ‘in Ukrainian direction’.
“There are no doubts that he might be involved in different directions,” he added.
On February 18, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin fired Vladislav Surkov from the post of his assistant.
Earlier, Dmitry Peskov reported that Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak appointed as a new assistant on Ukrainian issues.
