On January 5, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel held a phone talk and discussed the situation in Ukraine and possible joint production of the vaccine against coronavirus, as Strana reported.
“Some aspects of inner-Ukrainian settlement were touched upon, first of all, within the implementation of Minsk set of measures and agreements reached during the Normandy summits,” the message said.
Besides, Putin and Merkel discussed the possible German-Russian cooperation in the fight against coronavirus, highlighting the prospects of the joint production of vaccines.
“It was decided to continue the contacts on this issue between the health ministries and other special entities of both countries,” Kremlin reported.
Moreover, Putin and Merkel congratulated each other on Christmas and New Year holidays.
