President of France Emmanuel Macron and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed the results of the recent Normandy meeting in Paris. The two presidents talked on the phone and touched upon the special status of Donbas and provision of the gas transit across Ukraine. The Kremlin's press service reported this on December 17.
"The leaders have positively assessed the reached agreements concerning the implementation of Minsk "package of measures", the message says.
The Russian leader claimed it is necessary to agree on steps of legal setting of the special status of the occupied Donbas, stable ceasefire and prisoners exchange between Kyiv and Moscow.
