Vladimir Putin's statement about his country's non-involvement in the election in the U.S. in 2016 is false. Mike Pompeo, the CIA Director said that as quoted by Daily News.

'That’s false. The Russians attempted to interfere in the United States election in 2016. And it was Russians who actually engaged in this, not somebody from outside of the country or disconnected from Russia', the outlet cited him as saying.

Thus, Pompeo refuted Putin's words, as the Russian leader gave NBC the interview on March 10. Putin categorically rebuked the information about Russia being behind the interference in the U.S. presidential election.
