President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during his visit to the occupied Crimea last week held closed talks with the leader of the Ukrainian Choice political party Viktor Medvedchuk. This is reported by RBC, referring to its own sources.
"During the tour in Crimea, the Russian leader held closed talks with Viktor Medvedchuk," a source close to Medvedchuk said.
The publication noted that two more sources close to the Kremlin confirmed that the leader of Ukrainian Choice during the trip of the head of the Russian Federation "was exactly in Crimea" and that the last two years Putin meets him regularly during his trips to the occupied peninsula.
It is noted that at the meeting were raised questions of Ukrainian politics, the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the exchange of prisoners. According to one source, the conversation took place late on Friday, August 18, 2017.
The press service of the Kremlin did not comment on the meeting. Assistant of Medvedchuk Oleg Babanin also did not confirm or deny information about the meeting.
