Putin does not think about exchange of Vyshynsky for Sentsov

Foreign Ministry of Ukraine claimed that Kyiv considers all variants of the release of Sentsov, including the exchange for Vyshynsky

President of Russia Vladimir Putin claimed that he did not think about the possible exchange of journalist Kyrylo Vyshynsky for Oleg Sentsov as Interfax reported.

'It is totally different, disparate things so we did not think about that', Putin said.

Earlier Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov claimed that Russian side did not get any offers for the exchange of Vyshynsky for Sentsov. Spokeswoman of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa claimed that Kyiv considers all variants of Sentsov's release, including exchange for Vyshynsky.

As we reported Vyshynsky has claimed at the Appeal court session in Kharkiv that he refuses from the Ukrainian citizenship on June 1. He also appealed to Russia's President Putin for the protection. As it was reported earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea have exposed the network of the media entities controlled by the Russian Federation.

The law enforcement bodies held the investigative actions at the office of RIA News-Ukraine.

On May 15, the SBU considered the detention of the head of RIA News Ukraine agency’s office.

On May 17, Vyshynsky was arrested for two months in Kherson.

As it is known, Ukrainian movie director Oleg Sentsov and Crimean activist Oleksandr Kolchenko were detained by the Russian FSB in the annexed Crimea. Both were taken to Russia. Sentsov was charged with preparing a terrorist act in Crimea and sentenced to 20 years in the high-security penal colony. Kolchenko was sentenced to ten-years-long imprisonment.
