No contacts between the leadership of the Russian Federation and Ukraine are planned, and Moscow waits for the announcement of the official results of the elections in Ukraine. Then Moscow will watch the steps of the new president, as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing Yuriy Ushakov, the assistant of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“No, it is not planned yet,” Ushakov said answering the proper question.
“Now, we are waiting for the official announcement of the results of the elections, then the period of the inauguration of the new president should take place. We will see who the situation is going to develop in Ukraine and which steps will be assumed by the new president,” he added.
Kremlin stated that it is still early to talk about congratulations to the leader of the presidential race in Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Besides, Central Election Commission processed 100% of the protocols at abroad election district: Petro Poroshenko gained 54,74% of the votes, while Zelensky got 43,78%.
