President of Russia Vladimir Putin does not plan contacts with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky as TASS reported citing Putin’s Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov.

“The talk with Zelensky is not in the plan yet. In case of necessity, it can be organized very quickly,” Kremlin’s representative said.

Earlier, after the death of four Ukrainians, Zelensky initiated the urgent extraordinary meeting of the subgroup on the safety of the Trilateral Contact Group and he would like to raise this issue at the Normandy Format meeting.

As we reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of the Normandy Format meeting. However, in case it does not take place, the leader of the state will find another format of the talks with each side.

On March 18, Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak offered during the meeting of the political advisers of the countries of Normandy Format to adopt at this level the joint statement on the return to comprehensive ceasefire regime in Donbas that was established on July 27, 2020.

On March 26, four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died as a result of shelling by illegal armed groups in the Donetsk region. Two others were injured.
