President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in annexed Crimea. This is stated in the press service of the head of state message.

"Vladimir Putin arrived at the Artek international children's center. "The head of state inspected the model of the complex, which displays the existing buildings and structures, which are planned to be built in 2017-2018 years and in the future," the message reads.

At the same time, it is stressed that Putin is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets, presidential adviser Andrei Fursenko and "Head of the republic of Crimea" Sergei Aksenov.

It is planned that later Putin will take part in the opening ceremony of the 7th shift of 2017 in Artek.

As reported, at the end of October 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Yalta (city in Crimea annexed by Russia) to attend a meeting of the Russian interregional forum.

Artek - is an international children's center, which is located on the southern coast of Crimea in the village of Gurzuf.
