The head of the government of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont said that the aggressive policy of restriction of Catalonian rights is carried out with the support of the King of Spain, Philip VI. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

"It is not for the first time that Catalan institutions are attacked by the state with the support of the king, in order to weaken, disorient or directly suppress them," Puigdemont said.

He also noted that the Catalans overcame such "acts of aggression" that conceal the state's inability to make political decisions.

Earlier, head of the government of Catalonia stated that Madrid's actions towards autonomy are an "attack".
