Public transport in Ukraine will be launched in several stages - but it's definitely not earlier than May 11. Denys Shmygal, the Prime Minister reported that on April 22, as quoted by RBC-Ukraine news agency.
According to the official, the transport movement restrictions will be lifted on the urban level, then on the intercity level. Next, the interregional traffic is supposed to be restored.
"And, perhaps, in the very end, we will be considering restoration of passenger flights or global railway transportations," Shmygal said.
The PM stated that there's no certain date of the launch of the transport system since passenger transportation is "one of the most serious risks". "Underground, for example, is two million passengers every day. We realize that because of one sick person, at this rate, in several weeks there will be thousands of sick people. And that's just underground", the PM said.
