President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has supported the sending of the flight recorders of the Boeing 737 (PS752 flight) to the French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety. Zelensky wrote about it on his Facebook page.
"I welcome the sending of flight recorders of Boeing 737 of International Airlines of Ukraine, flight PS752, which was shot down in Tehran, to the French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety. This is the right step towards completing the investigation into the crash. Relatives and friends of those killed in this terrible tragedy must know the truth. They must also receive appropriate compensation from the Iranian side. Iran must conduct a full, transparent and independent investigation in accordance with international standards," Zelensky said.
He added that the boxes arrived in Lyon on Saturday (July 18) in conditions of high secrecy and are already in the laboratory.
"Our experts from the National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of Ukraine are also involved in the process of decrypting boxes. The process will begin with the harmonization of methods for reading information from boxes, after which experts will move on to the practical part of the work. Work can be completed quickly, but it depends on the technical condition of the boxes,” the head of state stressed.
As we reported earlier, the French side has officially confirmed the passage of black boxes from Iran.
