Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko called the membership in the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) the most efficient protection of Ukrainian independence. He said that during the interview with Hromadske.
"My personal opinion is that no matter how today's conflict would end, we still should think how to provide the security for the country for future. I believe that better than NATO is not created on our continent and will not be created soon. That is why I think the membership in the Alliance is the most effective way of protection for us," Prystaiko said.
He noted that the Ukrainian government would turn for the action plan regarding NATO membership when the alliance would be ready to respond positively and when Kyiv would be ready for it.
As we reported earlier, Vadym Prystaiko stated that he had agreed on the application of Steinmeier formula for Donbas conflict settlement.
