Defense Minister Andriy Taran criticized the information about the freezing of US military aid to Ukraine. This is said in a statement on the Ministry of Defense website.

"It is not surprising when the so-called" mass media "of the aggressor state work out the information operations tasks. They are the undisguised weapon of the Russian military machine," Taran said.

He also added that from 2020, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is implementing the second stage of military reform.

"At the beginning of April 2021, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine prepared and handed over to the US Department of Defense the corresponding final document (regarding the implementation of reforms - ed.), which on June 11, 2021, after appropriate certification by the Pentagon and the State Department, was approved by the US Congress," Taran said.

Earlier, Politico reported that the White House temporarily froze a $ 100,000 package of military aid to Ukraine. The package included lethal weapons. It was allegedly frozen ahead of a meeting between President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Later, the White House said that information about the suspension of security assistance to Ukraine is absurd.
