Protests in Kyiv: Police remove tents of protesters

Entrepreneurs claim they will spend the night at Maidan Nezalezhnosti square

Law enforcers removed the tents set by entrepreneurs, the members of rally in the downtown Kyiv. Press office of Interior Ministry reported that on January 15. 

According to the police, the rally organizers did not finorm them that they would place these tents at Maidan Nezalezhnosti square; so the tents were taken away. Their action provoked some of the rally members to respond.

"Later, a number of drunk men inflicted bodily injuries on three policemen. They were taken to a hospital with broken faces and bruises", reads the message.

112 Ukraine correspondent also mentioned that there are injured people among the rally members, too. A lady had her eye plucked out, and the man's head was bludgeoned.

On December 15, entrepreneurs gathered in Kyiv, next to the Ukrainian Parliament building; they protested against the lockdown and introduction of cash registers. The protesters set up their tents, and the police dispersed rally members with tear gas. Some 40 policemen got arc eyes. and one law enforcer fainted.
