The activists – mostly the military and the miners – marched across the city centre, chanting their demands. They want the government to keep the social tariffs at the current level and even cut them down. The miners demand their salaries to be paid, as many of them haven’t received their allowance for months. Other demands include saving their workplaces, solving employment issues, implementing moratorium on closing state-run coal mines, suspending corrupt officials in energy sector and saving infrastructure in Donbas.
According to a correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV channel, in the near time, the protesters are going to demand resignation of Energy Minister Ihor Nasalyk.
