“Clashes with the police took place near the Belarusian embassy in Kyiv. The protesters could not find a common language with the cops,” the statement reads.
PavlovskyNews reports that a man threw an egg at the Belarusian embassy building: "The man managed to throw only one egg, dropped the second, and began to hide."
"Law enforcers caught up with him on a nearby boulevard. Other participants in the rally tried to win back the man, but in the end, he was taken to the regional department," the message says.
The police have not yet commented on the clashes.
Presidential elections were held in Belarus on August 9. According to the results of the national exit poll, the incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is gaining 79.7%. Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya was supported by 6.8%, Anna Kanopatskaya received 2.3% of the vote, Andrei Dmitriev - 1.1%, Sergei Cherechen - 0.9%. According to the exit poll, 9.2% of voters voted against all.
