Hundreds of protesters are conducting marches on all the streets in Yerevan, blocking the roads with dumpsters and benches. According to Interfax, the protesters reacted to the call of Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the protest, the head of the parliamentary fraction Yelk.
The roads to the Republic square, where the opposition’s protest will be conducted, are blocked for now. Besides, the avenues which connect different city’s parts with the centre of Yerevan and central Mashtots Avenue.
It is known that the residents of Aragatzotn region blocked the Ashtarak – Yerevan highway, north of the capital of Armenia.
Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan called for reviving mass actions on April 29 and for showing up at a protest on May 1. He said it during the process of reviewing of candidates for PM post.
Yesterday it was reported that ruling Armenia’s Republican Party decided not to nominate a candidate for PM post.
