The lawsuit of Ukraine’s Justice Ministry on ban of Party of Shariy should be considered today at the District Administrative Court of Kyiv. A mass protest gathered near the court as people came to express their support to the political forces as Pershiy Nezalezhniy reported.
“We have a report that the National Guard officers do not admit people closer than 500 meters. We should provide some kind of document that confirms the belonging to the court meeting,” the TV presenters said.
The organizers of the protests asked permission for protesters to pass the arch near the court entrance to prevent the traffic jams; however, law enforcers refuse to pass people and they stay near the arch and protesters are forced to stay on the roadway.
The protest takes place calmly. Its partakers hold the party’s flags and posters; they chant slogans in support of the political force.
The TV presenters added that blogger Anatoly Shariy has no legal relations to the party; however, exactly due to the case against Anatoly Shariy, the Justice Ministry will make a decision at court whether or not the activity of the party should be banned.
On February 16, the SBU served charges in state treason to Anatoliy Shariy, blogger and politician.
According to investigators, Shariy was carrying out illegal activities to detriment Ukraine's national security in the information sphere.
In his turn, Shariy stated that the Security Service of Ukraine did not serve him charges officially. He read about it on the Telegram channel.
Later, the SBU put Shariy on the wanted list. On March 1, the SBU requested international legal aid in the criminal proceeding in the case of Anatoliy Shariy. The request was filed to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
Besides, the court permitted the detention of the suspect in state treason Anatoliy Sharity to transfer him to the court for choosing a restrictive measure for him in the form of the detention in custody.
