In London, thousands of people took part in the march of protest, demanding from the prime minister Theresa May to distance from the "special relationship" with the new American president Donald Trump and to withdraw the invitation to visit Britain this year with an official visit. It is reported by BBC Russian Service.
Protesters condemned the recent decree of Trump, prohibiting citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries to enter the United States, calling it racist.
The march was organized by the Stop the War Coalition and social movements Stand Up to Racism and Muslim Association of Britain, the procession sterted from the US embassy, located in Mayfair, and proceeded to the Prime Minister's residence in Downing Street.
However, the Office of the Prime Minister rejected the allegation that the queen may be in an awkward position because of this invitation, and confirmed that the visit will take place. Nevertheless, this issue on February 20 will be discussed in the Parliament.
